Manteca CAPS was started back in 1976 with three Developmentally Disabled adults attending a Day Program in Manteca on a daily basis. From these humble beginnings our organization has grown to serving over 320 adults, from sixteen cities in two counties, attending our programs on a daily basis. This growth in services prompted the Manteca CAPS Board of Directors to re-examine the name of our organization. Effective August 1, 2010, our organizational name will change to Valley CAPS. The new name will better describe our operations as one of the premier Day Programs in the Central Valley. In addition, the Board of Directors has also updated the acronym for CAPS. Starting in August, CAPS will stand for Center for Advanced Personal Success.

 

No matter the name, we here at Valley CAPS will continually strive to provide the best Day Program services to the adults in our care. Remember that we depend on the generosity and support from the communities that we serve, so that we may continue to assist those adults here in the Central Valley, who are living with Developmental Disabilities.
